DOR provides free vocational rehabilitation services — job training, education, assistive technology, and job placement — for people with disabilities.
Find your nearest DOR office and call to schedule an intake
You do not need a referral. Simply call your local DOR office to schedule a free eligibility meeting.
Gather documentation for your intake appointment
Bring: government-issued ID, Social Security card, proof of disability (doctor's note, medical records, etc.), and any education/work history.
Complete the eligibility determination
A counselor will assess your disability and work barriers. Most people are approved within 60 days.
Work with your counselor to create an Individualized Plan for Employment (IPE)
Your IPE outlines your career goal and the services DOR will pay for to get you there.
Begin services — job training, education, or assistive technology
DOR can pay for college, certifications, tools, transportation, and more depending on your plan.
Complete job placement and get hired
DOR will help with job coaching, resume writing, interview prep, and connecting you with employers.
